Memorandum of Understanding with Uzbekistan

On 9 July 2025 the delegations of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 66th series of WIPO Assemblies in Geneva. The delegation of HIPO was led by President Szabolcs Farkas, the Uzbek delegation by Mr Akbar Tashkulov, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, the parties overviewed the developments related to intellectual property, as well as the perspectives of cooperation, and President Farkas and Minister Tashkulov signed the Memorandum of Understanding on intellectual property between the two countries. The cooperation covers, among others, the following areas: exchange of information and experiences, training programs related to intellectual property, organizing joint events.
